Privacy Policy
CSV Power Editor is designed as a local Mac app. This policy explains what the app and website do, and just as importantly, what they do not do.
Local file processing
CSV Power Editor opens and processes CSV/XLSX files locally on your Mac. The app does not require uploading your spreadsheets to our servers for cleaning, comparing, filtering, editing, or exporting.
Website data
The website is a static marketing site. It does not include account creation, file upload forms, or a database-backed user dashboard. Your browser may still send standard request data to Cloudflare Pages, such as IP address, user agent, URL, and timestamps, as part of normal hosting and security operations.
App purchases
Purchases, refunds, taxes, and payment details are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store. We do not receive your full payment card information.
MCP automation
The MCP server runs on your Mac and binds to loopback localhost. It requires a bearer token for requests. MCP calls are logged locally to an append-only audit log at ~/Library/Application Support/CSV Power Editor/mcp-audit.log. That log is stored on your Mac unless you choose to share it.
Support emails
If you email us at support@csvpowereditor.com, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, screenshots, logs, or attachments.
Security
We use a local-first design to reduce unnecessary exposure of your files. You are responsible for controlling access to your Mac, your MCP bearer token, and any files or logs you choose to share.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app and website evolve. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
